I have worked so hard at the gym for the past year. I am so gonna cosplay this. No kidding.
Uh. No. To be honest I haven’t. I took a look at the refernces. The skirt of the gown she wears at Sansa’s wedding looks the way I made my skirt.
I like working according to reference. :)

It’s a lace front wig. It was expensive, yes. I paid around 80$ for it.
It’s a simple blue cotton fabric I bought at a fabric market near the place I live. Really, it’s nothing special.
A “Thank you” and “Please” wouldn’t hurt, don’t you think? ;)

Hey! Thanks a lot for your message! :) First of all, it’s amazing to hear that you decided to engage in cosplay! It’s a great and creative hobby!
Now on to the - let’s say - bad news. Reading your post I assume that you are a total beginner and that you have never worked with a sewing machine before. In case that you are a total newbie to sewing and cosplay I’d recommend you to pick another costume with an easier patterns and easier shapes, like a kimono for example.
Margaery’s dresses were some of the most challenging costumes I ever made. I know, especially the season 3 dress looks really simple, but it took me almost 3 days to come up with a pattern which fit me well and looked the part.
I really don’t want to keep you from cosplaying your favourite character, but try to learn the basics first and try to keep Margaery in mind as a “Dream Costume” for later, when you have gathered some experience. That’s my advice for you. :)

I didn’t use anything to dye the fabric. I bought the fabric in this blue colour. For the golden dots I used simple acrylic paint and a sponge.
"Thank you" or "Please" wouldn’t hurt. :(
I wear no bra underneath my Margaery costumes. Whoops.
I don’t think the actresses wear anything underneath these dresses either.

Here are the first pictures of my Ygritte cosplay, taken by the fabulous Ida at MCM Expo! More pictures coming soon ~
LOOK AT HER YOU GUYS. She started cosplaying THIS YEAR. SO YEAH. HOLY CRAP.
She is absolutely fantastic, photogenic and so beautiful!! I cannot wait to see which costumes she’ll decide to make next.
It’s always amazing to see someone so new to this hobby creating such great costumes right from the start.
