Season 4 behind the scenes

I have worked so hard at the gym for the past year. I am so gonna cosplay this. No kidding.

Anonymous asked: have you thought of layering the -skirt part of the marg dress with maybe a darker chiffon fabric to make it a bit more lively?

Uh. No. To be honest I haven’t. I took a look at the refernces. The skirt of the gown she wears at Sansa’s wedding looks the way I made my skirt.
I like working according to reference. :)

Anonymous asked: Was your Margaery wig expensive?? I can't seem to find a good one that isn't over £50 ><

It’s a lace front wig. It was expensive, yes. I paid around 80$ for it.

Anonymous asked: I was just wondering what sort of fabric you used for the skirt of your Margaery dress?? It looks so nice!

It’s a simple blue cotton fabric I bought at a fabric market near the place I live. Really, it’s nothing special.

A “Thank you” and “Please” wouldn’t hurt, don’t you think? ;)

Anonymous asked: Hey! I know this might be a huge, huge ask -- but I'm about to try and do my first ever cosplay, and I /love/ your cosplay of Margaery Tyrell. Being my favourite GOT character, I was wondering if you could offer any tips? On the dress structure particularly, but also the wig? Thank you so, so much -- for any help you can give me!

Hey! Thanks a lot for your message! :) First of all, it’s amazing to hear that you decided to engage in cosplay! It’s a great and creative hobby!

Now on to the - let’s say - bad news. Reading your post I assume that you are a total beginner and that you have never worked with a sewing machine before. In case that you are a total newbie to sewing and cosplay I’d recommend you to pick another costume with an easier patterns and easier shapes, like a kimono for example.
Margaery’s dresses were some of the most challenging costumes I ever made. I know, especially the season 3 dress looks really simple, but it took me almost 3 days to come up with a pattern which fit me well and looked the part.

I really don’t want to keep you from cosplaying your favourite character, but try to learn the basics first and try to keep Margaery in mind as a “Dream Costume” for later, when you have gathered some experience. That’s my advice for you. :)

Anonymous asked: What did you use to dye Daenerys' blue dress? What did you do?

I didn’t use anything to dye the fabric. I bought the fabric in this blue colour. For the golden dots I used simple acrylic paint and a sponge.

"Thank you" or "Please" wouldn’t hurt. :(
